Prospex shows the entries of the Swiss commercial register and the notices published in the Swiss Official Gazette of Commerce (SHAB). When you are registered as a director, managing director, partner or authorised signatory, the register publishes your name, function, signing authority, place of residence and commune of origin or nationality. The company page shows them as published. The same entries are on Zefix, the federal register search.

An entry taken unchanged from the commercial register stays visible after an objection. The law makes the register public so that anyone can check who acts for a company (art. 936 CO), and the Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner (FDPIC) considers that private sites may republish unchanged register data and do not have to delete it on request.

The page follows the register. Once your departure is entered in the commercial register and published in the SHAB, the page takes it over automatically. Until then, the register itself still lists you, and the company has to file the change with the cantonal commercial register office (art. 937 CO).

If the notice of your departure is already published and the page still shows you in your former function, that is an error on our side. Send us the company and the date of the notice, and we will correct it.

The Data Protection Act protects natural persons. A company is a legal entity, so the act gives no right to have its register entry deleted. When a company is dissolved or removed from the register, the SHAB publishes it, and the notice appears on the company's page like the ones before it.

Apart from what the commercial register published about you, we hold no personal data about you: no email address, no phone number and no private address. Our customers buy lists of companies, and those lists carry no contact persons.

Our customers see the same register entries as the public page, for example a notice that a company has appointed a new managing director. We do not sell personal data.

You can ask Google to remove the page from the results for a search on your name, through its personal information removal form. Give the page's address and your name as the search term. Google decides each case on its own, and the page stays online when a result is removed.
